How To Turn Your Blog Into A Lifetime Business – Guide

Welcome to CAMPUS NEWS NIGERIA, Are you interested in articles about How To Turn Your Blog Into A Lifetime Business, this post contains all the necessary details on guide on How To Turn Your Blog Into A Lifetime Business.
Blogging has for some years now transformed from keeping journals about ones self into a fulltime and interesting job for several people around the globe (including myself). For sure, most people like myself started out of the passion we had for the internet and helping others, but who says you can’t take blogging to the bank?
Blogging to the bank could seem pretty easy when you read several income reports from bloggers who make it big, but on the contrary, it hasn’t been what you see from the outside. It requires a flock of hardwork, sleepless nights, making creative articles, doing SEO and much more.

In this article, I’ll give you an explicit view on what makes a successful blogger and how turn your passion into smiling to the bank. Below are simple yet ignored facts you need to know to convert your blog into a full time business.

1. Your Passion

First off, without passion for what you do, you definitely would end up rolling your eyes in exasperation. Trust me, blogging isn’t a get rich quick scheme and in your early days, what would keep your fire burning is the passion you have for what you do.
It actually took me a couple of months (if not years) before I landed my first Adsense cheque. What kept me going all those while was the passion I had for the blogosphere and helping others.
Find out what you love doing and do not spread your efforts on things you are not interested in. This would help you carve a niche for yourself and blog.

2. Write Like Crazy

You don’t actually need to be crazy to write good articles anyway. One thing I hold on to is this quote by Brian Clark (a british television writer) .
10 Steps to Becoming a Better Writer
Write.
Write more.
Write even more.
Write even more than that.
Write when you don’t want to.
Write when you do.
Write when you have something to say.
Write when you don’t.
Write every day.
Keep writing.”
Practice they say makes perfect, and the simple secret here is, the more you write, the better you get at it. You firstly have to make extensive research about your niche, craft magnetic articles and most of all, write like crazy. Below are links to articles that will improve your writing.

3. Build A Community

If you wish to make money off blogging, then you need to build a community around your blog. Building a community on the other hand isn’t about getting traffic to your blog, it is all about getting the right target audience around your blog.
Getting a handful of loyal readership, people who are interested in what you do and also respect you as an authority is by far better than getting a ton of readers who are in the real sense not interested in your stuff. Loyal readers can be easily turned into cash since they trust you, and building a community around your blog is all you need to turn this passion into a successful reality. Here are some articles you might find interesting.

4. Promote Your Posts

Hey dear, if you can write the best articles in the cybersphere and do not have a strategic plan laid down to get it over to your target audience, your voice would definitely not be heard. Your voice not been heard would result in your frustration and exit of this career path. I’ve been able to write some articles that you would find helpful in mapping out your own killer strategies to promoting your blog posts.

5. Monetize

After you’ve discovered a Niche, learnt to write killer articles, built a community around your blog and most of all been able to get your articles to the face of millions using your laid down promotion schemes, what’s left to do is MONETIZE your blog.
There are several ways you can monetize your blog and make a living off it. These include applying for Ad companies such as Adsense, Media.net, Chitika, Infolinks and a host of others. On the other hand, you could sell ads directly to clients at fixed rates of your choice. You could as well make money publishing sponsored reviews. The options are endless, read the below articles to help you in monetizing your blog.

6. Reinvest

If you for sure want to become a full time blogger, then you have to take blogging as a real business. In real businesses, you reinvest your income in order to make more money next time and blogging as a full career shouldn’t be an exception.
There are a number of things to invest into if you wish to build a multimillion dollar blogging organization. Things like a good hosting, good writers, adverts and SEO shouldn’t be overlooked. Below are articles to guide you through this.

7. Rinse and Repeat

After you must have diligently followed the above laid down steps, it’s left for you to rinse and repeat the whole process. Yea, that’s the secret to becoming a successful blogger and living the internet lifestyle.

Now Your Turn

Having gone through this post, it’s left for you to implement these tested and trusted strategies, apply them and watch out the magic that plays out. As I said earlier, blogging is not a get rich quick scheme, but it really pays in the long run if properly done.
I would love to hear your views. Please do let me know what you think using the comment section below. To your blogging success! Cheers!

JAMB CAPS ACTIVATED

This to notify candidates seeking admission into various tertiary institutions for the 2018/2019 academic session that the JAMB CAPS have been activated for the admission exercise.

This means that candidates can now monitor their admission status and easily know when they have been offered an admission.

Once a candidate has been offered admission, such candidate is required to do either of two things; to accept the admission or to reject it.

Once you accept the admission, your admission quest is over as you will no longer be available for other schools' admission consideration. On the other hand, if you reject the admission, you become available to other schools who have free admission slots for admission consideration.

It is important to note also that candidates who have been offered admission on JAMB CAPS are to equally print their admission letter after accepting the admission, as they will likely need this during clearance and registration in the school that they have been admitted.

We therefore advise candidates to closely monitor their admission status on JAMB CAPS so as to do the needful as soon as possible.

Some schools may not even publish list of admitted candidates on their own portal or notice board. So for candidates that applied for admission in such schools, the only way to know when they have been offered admission is to check their admission status on JAMB CAPS.

How To Check Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

Visit: http://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility/ and login with your registered email address and password to access your dashboardAfter you have log in you will see a welcome notice just move down on the page you will see "check 2018 UTME/DE Admission Status on CAPS". Click on it and you will be redirected to the caps pageAfter clicking on "check 2018 UTME/DE Admission Status on CAPS", you will see a page showing your JAMB details and your admission status, If you have been given admisison, you can now go ahead to accept it or reject it.

Note: If you are using a phone, you may not see the option to check is Admission Status on CAPS, Most phone users may only see the welcome message. The caps page shows only welcome because it requires you to use desktop mode to view the complete  page. This is why the chrome browser is recommended if you are a using a phone. All you need to do is go to Chrome option and choose request desktop site for the complete page to display.

Possible scrap of Post utme

Following some of the decisions taken at the 2016 JAMB Combined Policy meeting which include the official announcement of the 2016 cut-off mark as 180 for Universities, Polytechnic and Colleges of education and the scrapping of Post-UTME, many candidates are asking a lot of questions with regard to how the admission process for this year is going to run.
Having examined the situation, we would like to point out some factors that may likely come in to play in 2016 admission process.
First, one thing that will likely be a fall-out of this new development is the fact that the cut off-mark of top institutions like UNIBEN, UNILORIN, OAU, UI, UNILAG may shoot up to 220, 240 or even 250. However, no institution will go below 180.
The responsibility of placing candidates in schools will now reside with JAMB. However, JAMB has to first confirm the requirements of institutions before placing candidates in such institution. For instance, if UNIBEN decides that its cut-off mark for this year is 250, it is only candidates who applied to study in UNIBEN and score up to 250 will secure admission.
Similarly, since the bench cut-off mark is 180, JAMB may decide to re-distribute candidates who scored up to 180 to other institutions (who knows, it could be a university, polytechnic or College of education since they all have the same cut-off mark) if the institution they originally chose have reached its admission quota or if such candidates UTME score fall below the set cut-off mark of their specific institutions.
The scrapping of Post-UTME does not necessarily mean that institutions cannot conduct other forms of screening, it only means they cannot conduct another form of examination similar to UTME. So schools may decide to use oral interview or verification of documents to screen candidates.
The scrapping of post-UTME will equally save candidates the cost of purchasing their school's post-UTME form and going through the usual hassles associated with it.
However, all these factors will be expected to play out when ASUU, ASUP and NCEE accept the outcome of the 2016 JAMB Combined Policy meeting.
Since these bodies are yet to express their stance on this, we will only wait to see how it plays out at the end of it all.
Now, lets know your opinion on this or what you think the admission process will be like.
